Well, I am glad to see you here again, trying to understand together if the parallel reality theory is true …if somewhere there..is another ME and if is possible for me to interact with this world.
Before telling you some theories about the existence of the parallel universes I would like to ask your opinion. What do you think can be possible? Would you like to be true and to see your other self and maybe changing world lines?
Scientific theories
So the idea of parallel worlds’, universes, was first brought by Erwin Schrodinger, a quantum pioneer and published in 1957 by Hugh Everett the 3rd. Everett came up with the idea that the Universe is constantly splitting and the outcome of any experimental measurements creates each one a separate universe, an alternative existence.
What did the Big Bang teach us? The Universe was never constant in space or time and it changed from a hotter and uniform state to a diffuse state in the present and much cooler than in its beginning.But here we have many questions. Is the Universe limited to what we know and what we see? The limit of what we see and what we know is set by the distance that the light can travel and the speed it had traveled since the Big Bang.
I don’t want to go very deep in the scientific way the universe was formed but Let’s say that before the Big Bang was a period of Cosmological inflation and that the Universe was full of energy and it expanded but of course at some point it expansion stopped and also the inflation period stopped and that…. Big Bang.
So it is possible more that one Universe was created at that time but are they the same? Are they identical and there is an infinite number of Universes? If so, the many world theory of quantum mechanic is true and out there can be an identical Universe, which developed on the same way with ours maybe with a small difference, This difference will create a totally different world. If an event at the quantum level is changed results in a different, parallel Universe.
Another way to see things
If we give an example, in our Universe maybe you were very close to the point to take a very important job, the job of your dreams, but you didn’t. Now you are sad, depressed, your dreams are destroyed, so on. In another parallel line you took the job and now you are very successful and happy, full-filled, this giving you a very different life But can be also a Universe where you took the job, you are successful but very busy and you lost your family and this makes you again sad, depressed and so on. Are millions of scenario that can happen but each small difference create a totally different world.
So this Multiple Universes theory allows a traveler to change small or critical events from the past without creating paradoxes.
Opinions
Commenting on this theory, Professor Andy Albrecht said in an interview for the New Scientist magazine, that ‘This work will go on as one of the most important developments in the history of science.’
The Parallel worlds’ idea was discussed a lot and had different points of view. Dr. Deutsch said that the structure created by the splitting of the Universe in parallel realities can explain the nature of quantum results and it proved it mathematically.His work was approved by Simon Sanders and David Wallace. In also an interview with the New Scientist, Dr. Sanders said ‘We’ve cleared up the obscurities and came up with the pretty clear verdict that Everett works. It’s a dramatic turnaround and it means that people now have to discuss Everett seriously.’
Discoveries
The Uk’s Royal Astronomical Society published an evidence proving the Parallel Universes Theory.They published actually a study on the ‘cold spot’ which is a cold part of the space seen in the radiation that was produced billions of years ago when the universe was formed.
One of the authors of this study was Professor Tom Shanks. I will tell you here what did it say.
‘We can’t entirely rule out that the Spot is caused by an unlikely fluctuation explain by the standard theory of the Big Bang. But if that isn’t the answer that there are more exotic explanations. Perhaps the most exciting of these is that the Cold Spot was caused by a collision between our universe and another bubble universe. If further, more details analysis …proves this to be the case that the Cold Spot might be taken as the first evidence for the multiverse.’
What is actually this Cold Spot? Is like an optical illusion which is produced by the lack of any intervening galaxy.
For or against?
An opponent of the multiverse theory is Paul Steinhardt who was actually one of the creators of this theory. He developed the theory of the origin of our universe trying to explain the cold and the birth of multiverse. Later on, he comes against his theory.
Do you believe?
A new theory claims that multiple and parallel universes exist and more than this, they interact with ours. Of course, the idea is that they interact at the quantum level and scientists sustain that this is detectable. A theory is that all the alternatives of present or past are real and they create different realities.
Howard Wiseman says that’ ‘In the well-known Many Worlds Interpretation each universe branches into a bunch of new universes every time a quantum measurement is made.’ He claims that exist ‘ a universal force of repulsion between nearby worlds’ which tends to make them more dissimilar.’
So is not just since fiction the idea of humans interacting with other Universes? What do you think?

Like time travel, I believe it is possible that a parallel universe exists. I know about the parallel universe from the stories in comics and never really thought about it in a scientific way.
I remember I once read about certain people they have on photographs and films through the years. that is strangely similar to a living person. Most people would think they are related but in most cases, they are not and they called them doppelgangers. What if these are people from a parallel universe that come to our universe to make course correction of history?
Maybe who knows, Dira. Anything is possible. Yes, I also have seen many photos of people in the past, last centuries even which are very similar to people living now without being related. How strange isn’t it?Correction of history? I never thought like this but I don’t think is good to change the history. Maybe they is a parallel earth where somebody, another YOU live but is in another era, maybe…hundreds of years in the past…Who knows the real truth?

The idea of a parallel or multi-verse existing alongside our own has always fascinated me. With so much potential information that hasn’t been discovered yet, there’s no evidence to show this theory isn’t correct.
So with evidence pointing to the possibility of its existence, that sounds awesome. But would I want to meet another me from a different dimension? The idea sounds interesting, but ultimately, scary at the same time. Call it fear of the unknown or whatever, but I might pass on that opportunity should it ever arise.
What about you, Cristina? Would you want to meet another you from a different universe?
Normally you are not allow to meet your other self, if you end up in a different dimension. It is called paradox. But i would stay from a distance to watch and I will try to help my self to change a few things:)) of course is scary, I say from the safety of my sofa that i would be cool but if was was in front of the fact of course i would be scared.
